Nice idea in an ideal world, but hopelessly impracticable. I agree with Steve Park (!!!!) that such a competition would mean the lower-order riders (who might need it most) would be deprived of early-season action under racing conditions. However, what rules the idea out in this day and age is that none of the clubs could afford it! Paying your top earners for three away meetings out of the takings from just one home 'gate' would be an impossible financial burden. -

Basso and Bangs would have been good at Northampton. At least the stadium isnt due to be demolished or the landlords wanting to evict. These days, that's a major advantage -
Leicester should be welcoming this, they finally have a local rival in sport, (their football fans try and claim they have one with Forest, but it isn't a real derby, not like Forest v Derby). -

The plan is to have 2027 sorted by the end of June this year.... The more sceptical, given the track record of those in charge, may not quite believe it, however, let's hope for a "new start".... -
