That's only a suspicion though... there are football pitches situated over the back of the Speedway arena with floodlights on top of very large posts. -

As I understand it - should be after SIX meetings. Of course one factor to consider is any of those 7 matches may get postponed and add to the 9 and, not wishing the young lad bad fortune, he has to remain fit for the matches -

I believe there have been proposals to name the stand after Mort, but it was Mort himself, being a modest man, who refused it. -

Chris Morton also an MBE. Promoters Johnnie Hoskins and Ronnie Greene also honoured. Ivan Mauger is the only rider to also receive an OBE. -
