Although he had to stand down latterly, did he not come back to announce the final race at Peterborough? Always used to build the tension when reading out the race result of a close finish while everybody around me had their pens hovering above their programme's

No disrespect to other track announcers but Edwin was really the best, missed his voice in 2023. RIP Edwin.

Tbf, the Edinburgh Vs Poole one is rearranged. Supposed to have already been done but they switched it out for Scunny - which I guess is harder to fit in. -

Such a shame, lovely bloke and he was well liked at Peterborough -
Such sad news.Such a distinctive voice that everyone knew.As soon as he spoke we all knew it was Edwin.My condolences to his family. RIP Edwin Overland.

Very sad news. Such a professional and he always remained impartial at both King’s Lynn and Peterborough.
