He was better for sure in 23 but in 22 he often looked quite unsteady on the bends in my view his average could have been quite a bit higher too if he hadn’t lost so many pts - on his day tho he was a good effective reserve reckon he can do well -
I am liking the look of this team. I'll certainly try and get down to Workington at least a couple of times if I can make it fit.

Not sure I agree with that. Foxhall was his biggest strength. He was generally poor everywhere away but at Foxhall he could often be a match winner. Took some huge scalps beating the leagues best riders on occasions. In 22 averaged comfortably more at home than Barker, Starke and Anders Rowe, and in 23’ averaged more at home than Rew, Dan Thompson and Riss.
